Interior Design, Project Management, Graphic Design & Event Planning
I'm forever trying to heighten additional creativity by creating graphic designs, planning events or designing interiors. I've been involved with Capital Alumni Network (CAN) since 2002 and have been organizing the WVU Alumni sports teams. Since the start of 2005 I've also been involved with organizing community and charity fundraisers for CAN. Since early 2002 I have also been on the board for my local alumni association chapter, National Capital Area Chapter WVU Alumni Association. For NCAC I help to organize several of their annual events and have had the opportunity to organize events from my own ideas such as the WVU Alumni Benefit Concert. Another creative endeavor of mine is helping friends and family members organize, decorate and set up their homes when they have just moved, just bought a new home or are ready to renovate their existing homes. I have also been in the Interior Design business since 1997 and have been working as a Project Manager, Facitilies Manager and Interior Designer in the DC area. These outlets are specifically of interest to me and I hope to continue to learn and grow within each specific task.
My Love of Art
I love art. My love started when I was a kid, age 9, and my parent's enrolled me in art classes at The Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria. I then took several classes in both high school and college that ranged from painting with water colors, to charcoal and pencil sketching and finally to acrylic painting. I am still very interested in maintaining my artistic abilities. I enjoy painting paintings for friends & family members and I sometimes submit my work to be purchased at fundraising events. I also enjoy taking photographs of landscapes and architecture wherever my travels may take me. I continually try to experiment with my art to make it better. One can never stop learning about art and the skills necessary to continue growing and strengthening a talent.
